The year we clapped the NHS

We painted rainbows for our windows, 

Some became home school tutors, 

Many became gardeners and DIY’ers. 

We learnt how to cut our family members hair (badly)

We made sure we got our hour of exercise a day, 

We heard the ice cream van every evening and maniacally tried to track it down before it disappeared. 

We missed big holidays, birthdays, weddings and other momentous events, 

Some had babies!

What a year it has been, 

A year filled with tears but also laughter.

The year the we learnt how important our community is. 

This year has made me feel very grateful for mine.
